This notice explains how CapIX handles personal data when you visit capix.network, create an account, use Web, IDE, CapIX Code or APIs, operate a node, contact support or receive communications. Contact the controller at hello@capix.network. The applicable CapIX contracting operator is identified in your order, invoice or other written agreement.
Data we collect
- Account and identity data: name, email, organisation, role, wallet address and authentication or device identifiers.
- Transaction and service data: quotes, orders, deployment metadata, usage, route receipts, balances, blockchain transaction identifiers, invoices and support history.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate location, device, browser, logs, API requests, security events, crash diagnostics and necessary cookie identifiers.
- Provider data: contact details, node capability, payout address and compliance or tax information where required.
- Customer Content: code, prompts, files, models, inputs and outputs only as needed to route, execute, secure, troubleshoot or follow documented instructions.
Do not include secrets or unnecessary personal data in prompts, logs, filenames or support requests. CapIX does not use private Customer Content to train general models without explicit opt-in and does not sell personal data or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Purposes and lawful bases
We process data to perform contracts, including accounts, routing, deployments, metering, billing and support; for legitimate interests including security, fraud prevention, reliability, product improvement and administration; to comply with law; and, where required, on consent for optional analytics or communications. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing.
Decentralised processing and recipients
Workload metadata and Customer Content may be transmitted to Providers selected by you or your routing policy. Providers may be independent controllers for their own security and legal records. Blockchain transactions and wallet addresses may be permanently public and cannot be erased by CapIX. We disclose data to infrastructure, database, observability, communications, payment and security suppliers in the Subprocessor List; authorised users; professional advisers; acquirers in a corporate transaction; and authorities where law requires.
International transfers
Providers and subprocessors may operate globally. Where transfer restrictions apply, CapIX uses an adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Customers should restrict routing regions where their compliance requirements demand it.
Retention
Account records are retained while the account is active and normally for 24 months afterwards. Contract, billing and immutable ledger records are retained for up to seven years. Routine security logs are normally retained for 12 months, support records for three years, and Customer Content until deletion or termination. Backups normally expire within 90 days. Data may be retained longer for disputes, fraud prevention or law, then deleted or anonymised. Public blockchain records remain outside CapIX's control.
Security and rights
CapIX uses access controls, encryption in transit, secrets management, logging, vulnerability management and incident response proportionate to risk. No decentralised network is risk-free. Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection or review of solely automated decisions, and may complain to a regulator including the UK ICO. We verify identity and may retain data where legally required. Submit requests to hello@capix.network.
The Services are not directed to children under 18. Routing uses automated signals such as price, capability and reliability but does not ordinarily make legal or similarly significant decisions about individuals. We will post updates and give reasonable notice of material changes.
